The Lambton Shores Predators played a home and home
series this weekend against the St. Marys Lincolns.
On Saturday night in Forest the Predators came away
with a hard found 7-6 victory. The Predators were
down 6-5 with less than 5 minutes to go when Kyle
Brothers scored 2 straight goals to give the home
town team the lead for good. Brothers scored 4 goals
on the night. Also having a solid offensive night
was Cam Downie who had 1 goal and 2 assists. The
other goal scorers were Sam Jasmin and Adam
Arsenault. Also having a strong game was Connor
Annett who had 3 assists and had a stellar defensive
game on the blueline. The Predators dressed most of
their signed players to date and the boys currently
on the team had a good showing.
“We had a good game last night. I thought all four
lines played well. One thing we need to do is work
on our Penalty Kill. We gave up to many goals. I
thought our Goaltenders played good. I would like to
thank the fans that came out to watch. One thing
this team will do is work hard every night” said
Head Coach Mark Davis.
On Sunday afternoon the Predators played the
Lincolns in Lucan. It was a very close game
throughout and ended in a 5-5 time. Even though the
Predators line-up was missing some of the signed
players the boys played hard and came away with a
well deserved tie. Having a strong game was new
comer Jake Carter who scored two goals.
Head Coach Mark Davis commented “The predators
played well today with a young line up. Our defence
played well and I thought we battled back hard. We
fell behind but never quit working. We killed off a
few Penalty Minutes and settled down to finish the
game hard”
The Predators next game is their HOME OPENER ON
SEPTEMBER 10TH AT 7:30 vs. LaSalle.
