Sarnia, ON - The 2011 Ontario ParaSport Summer
Games came to a conclusion on Saturday, with events
in all
six sports taking place.

Mitchell
Blondin of Sarnia competed in the 100, 200 and 400
meter races. He completed the 100m in 15.87 seconds
where he finished in first place in his class , the 200m in 32.92
seconds where he came in second place in his class, and the 400m
in 1:15.26. he finished in first place in his
class. However combined overall totals in each
race eliminated him from the medals.
All three races were personal bests for Blondin. Blondin will
continue to work out and prepare for next year's
competition at York University where he will work
towards qualifying to compete at a National level.
It's a family affair as Mom Sandra who has obtained her coaching
certification coaches and sister Loralynn acts as
his trainer. Loralynn a student at SCITS and
also a runner trains her brother teaching him from
what she learnt as a runner. Blondin is
sponsored by SD Sarnia Lambton.
