The Sarnia Tyke Pacers stampeded out of the gate with a convincing 16 - 1 win over the visiting Wallaceburg #2 Griffins Tuesday night before a full house at the Clearwater arena. The Tyke Pacers took it to the Griffins from the opening draw with returning veteran Sebastian Frenette leading the way from the on set, scoring on the first shift of the game, and finishing with 3 goals and 2 assists.
Not to be out done in his first game in Pacer orange and black, Eric McDonald led all goal scorers with 5 goals. Other scorers included Corson Young and Mason Winegard-Milne with 2 apiece, while single goals were scored by Brett Vince, Hunter Dalgety, Ryder Nienhuis, and Konner Adams. Assists crowded the game sheet with almost every Pacer recording at least one assist as the young Tykes did their best to get everyone involved. Loose Balls were tracked down all night long and the checking was ferocious in front of stand out goalie Sean Foster.
The Pacers head out on the road to Wallaceburg Tuesday the 26th to take on the Wallaceburg #1 Griffins before returning home to host the London Blue Devils next Thursday night.
