St. Pat's Top Team at SWOSSAA Tennis Championship

St. Patrick’s High School won the SWOSSAA tennis team championship on Tuesday May 17th in Windsor.  St. Pat’s was led by outstanding performances from sisters Clara & Catherine Rastin and Elise McInnis.

The Rastin’s won the Girl’s Doubles Championship for the 4th consecutive year and McInnis was runner up in Girl’s Singles.

The Rastin’s and McInnis will now advance to the OFSAA championship that will be held at the University of Toronto from May 30 to June 1.

Results of other local players were:
• Griffin Allen (Lambton Central) 3rd in Boy’s Singles
• Riley Bore (Northern) 5th in Boy’s Singles
• Meaghan Gregoris (St. Clair) 5th in Girl’s Singles
• Keli Grant & Raj Dighe (Northern) 5th in Mixed Doubles
• Lyndsey Osler & Courtney Tremain (Northern) 7th in Girl’s Doubles
• Claire Walker & Rae Wilcox (North Lambton) 7th in Girl’s Doubles

• Andrew Davies (Northern) 3rd in Boy’s Open Singles for provincially ranked players.

Individual championships were won by:
• Natalia Glaz of Villanova (Lasalle) in Girl’s Singles.
• Catherine & Clara Rastin of St. Pat’s in Girls’ Doubles
• Luka Miokovic of Sandwich S.S. (Lasalle) in Boy’s Singles
• Josh Ashby & Evan Thibert of Chatham Kent S.S. in Boys’ Doubles
• Ashlynn Quimby & Brendan Soto of Belle River S.S. in Mixed Doubles
