Vaughan Degurse continues his
dominance in the Sarnia Hockey
Association Midget Tier 1 house
league as he scored six goals to
help propel Mr. Sub with a 12-7
play-off win over Pt. Edward
Ex-Serviceman.
Ryan Gould also had a strong
outing as he netted a hat trick
for Mr. Sub. Jordy Grondin
chipped in with a goal and two
assists. Both Jacob Ayers and
Joseph Iaccino rounded out the
scoring with singles. Andrew
Kapteyn drew one assist in the
cause. Goalie Jonathan Kameka
(Tier 2) provided his service in
net for Mr. Sub in back to back
games and picked up the win.
Answering from Pt. Edward was
Ethan Kilbreath who scored twice
and added two helpers in his
efforts. Aaron Devereaux
contributed a goal and an assist
while Jayce Barnaby, Connor
Coopman, Austin Freer and Tin
Hoven also tallied once. Goalie
Noah Caverly (Pt. Edward) was
the busier of the two
goaltenders and gave a valiant
effort.
The league’s leading offensive
team, D&S Service Centre, took
full advantage of their
opportunities as they
overpowered Kel-Gor in a 15-4
outburst. Adam Vanderlaan
enjoyed a seven point game with
three goals and four assists for
D&S. Jack McAuley had a strong
performance as he produced four
goals and two assists. Jake
Trussler also padded his stats
with a three goal; two assist
effort. Nicholas Cooper was
credited with a pair of goals
and one assist while Jack Soeder
netted a goal and added two
helpers. Peter Raymo supplied a
goal and one assist and Cameron
Vandenbossche rounded out the
scoring with one. Jacob
Serratore and Aaron Cicchini
garnered three assists apiece.
The snipers from Kel-Gor were
both Tim MacNaughton and Daniel
Joyce with two goals each. Ryan
Nutt, Brandon Shanks and Lucas
Davis each had one assist in the
cause.
