Lakeshore Optimists and Sarnia Cement Battle for Top Spot in Sarnia Hockey Tier 2 Midget

The battle
continues for top spot in the
Sarnia Hockey Associations
Midget Tier 2 house league
between Lakeshore Optimists and
Sarnia Cement. With the 5-1
victory, Sarnia Cement has now
moved just one point behind
Lakeshore Optimists in the
division with two games
remaining. Zachery Roehler
continues to shine as he netted
two goals and two assists in
leading Sarnia Cement to the
win. Mitchell Neal found the
back of the net with a goal and
an assist in his efforts. Both
Cole Armstrong and Zachery
Turner rounded out the scoring
with one tally apiece. Austin
Cormier chipped in with a pair
of helpers while Savannah
MacKinnon and Jaggar Ward each
had one. Sarnia Cement goalie
Daniel DiFederico had his
shutout bid snapped by Dante
Club’s Bryce Smiley midway thru
the second frame on a set up
from Darius Brooks.
Beehive Windows
and Doors have strung together
three wins and a tie in their
last four outings to stay in the
hunt for a run at first place
after their 5-3 wins over Dante
Club. Tyler Oudman was on fire
netting a hat trick and setting
up another goal in the cause.
Clayton Peters found the back of
the net with a single marker
while adding two helpers.
Alexander Tanguay was the other
sniper. Garnering the assists
were Peyton Demarco with two
while Dylan Schroeter, William
Lee, Matthew Desrosiers and Abby
Miller each had one. Getting on
the score sheet for Dante Club
was Dallas Henry with a pair of
goals and Zachery Montgomery wit
one. Supplying the assists were
Hunter Raymo, Ben Wilson, Evan
Kwan, Robert Smith and Kyle
Robertson each with one.
