Bowling Scores for Week Ending Jan 30, 2016

            Dan Chopp and Justin Romanik highlight the Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling report this week as they tossed perfect games in their respective leagues at Marcin Bowl. They were the 13th and 14th perfect games posted in LCTA bowling action this bowling season.

            Honourable mention goes to Jim Lapointe, Larry Plumb, Brandon Gauthier, Pam Marciniszyn and Ben Lapointe as they all rolled great triples at Marcin Bowl.

            Chopp tossed his career 8th perfect game in his first game on lanes 13 & 14 in the Marcin Thursday Night Border City Menís League. He finished the night with 724. It was his 3rd 300 this season, all accomplished in the Border City Menís League.              

            Romanik recorded his career 2nd perfect game in his second game on lanes 15 & 16 in the Marcin Sunday Morning Menís League to share the honours for high single of the week. He finished the day with 760 (300 Ė 106 pins over average Ė 236 Ė 178 pins over average for three games) also taking the honours for the weekís second highest triple.

             Lapointe bowled 765 (266-256-243) in the Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Menís League to post the weekís high triple.

             Larry Plumb hurled 758 (261-259-238) in the Marcin Sunday Morning Menís League.

             Brandon Gauthier wheeled 751 (232-276-243) in the Marcin Sunday Morning Menís League.  

             Marciniszyn rolled 709 (240-254) in the Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League to achieve the ladies high triple of the week.

             Lapointe (Ben) recorded 675 (254-235) in the Hi-Way Phantoms Youth Intermediate division to register the youth high triple of the week. He also placed 2nd in the same division in the Ivan Nelson Memorial Youth Provincial Championship Scratch Tournament in Mississauga winning the silver medal and scholarship money for his future education.      

            Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Five will take place on February 2/16 at 6:30. The oil pattern to be used is the 2011-2012 PBA T of C with an oil pattern distance of 39 feet. Come out and try your luck. A really good turnout will mean more qualifying spots.

            Steve Lewicki fired 733 (269-241) in Hi-Way RCAFA 403 Wing Mixed League action. He was trailed by Alex Pak 641 (234), Sean Burr 633, Connor Smith 613 (242) and Adam Farrenkopf 224. The ladiesí top scores were Jocelyn VanEkeren 524 (236), Marnie Majeski 519 (187), Denise Walker 488 (185) and Patti Hilton 481 (187). Team standings are The Southenders 388, Mac Attack 380, World War Two 355, Here For The Fun 354, Fam Jam 345, Something To Believe In 342, Jaws Returned 339, Blue Foursome 339, Game Over 334, Two Plus Two 316, Phudpuckers 308 and Get Away Girls 304.

            Walter Amyotte rolled 724 (255-277 Ė 86 pins over average and 151 pins over average for three games) in Marcin Triple A Mixed League ado. He was tailed by Quincy VanEkeren 619 (223-212), Dave Jones 601 (237), Ernie Anderson 587 (214), Ross McCorquodale 584 (246), James Docherty 211 and Mike Shoults 205. The womenís best scores were Susan McGrath 547 (197), Michelle Drew Jones 513 (191), Shelley Thompson 501 and Wendy Street 497.            Kevin McMillan tossed 723 (230-235-258) in Marcin Thursday Night Border City Menís League rivalry.
