Lakeshore Optimists took over first
place in the Tier 2 play-off standings after beating Dante Club
6-5.
Maxwell Musico led the offence for Lakeshore scoring a hat
trick. Vincent Lavoie scored the game winner and also added two
assists in his efforts. Bryce Dummitt earned a goal and an
assist while Darius Brooks rounded out the scoring with one.
Megan Hunking supplied a pair of assists and both Bryce Smiley
and Bryson Crossett-Pomoransky each had one.
Picking up single goals from Dante Club were Mackenzie Fiddy,
Hunter Raymo, Evan Vandenbossche, Dallas Henry and Robert Smith.
Chipping in with the helpers were Devon Oliveira and Robert
Smith with two apiece. Tyson Passingham and Mackenzie Fiddy each
had one.
Goalies Jonathan Kameka (Lakeshore) and Kenny Portiss (Dante
Club) came up with some big saves to keep their teams in the
hunt for a win.
Three
goals late in the third period lifted Sarnia Cement to a 6-3
victory over Beehive Windows and Doors.
Zackary Roehler, Jacob Wilson and Craig Vanderlaan each scored
twice of Sarnia Cement while helpers went to Mitchell Neal with
two and Cole Armstrong, Savannah MacKinnon, Zackary Turner,
Vanderlaan and Wilson all had one.
Answering for Beehive were Clayton Peters Jacob Cunningham and
Jamie Roberts with singles. Matthew Vandenberg, Dylan Schroeter,
Tyler Oudman and Cunningham garnered the assists.
Goalies Daniel DiFederico (Sarnia Cement) and Daniel Brush
(Beehive) each had an outstanding effort between the pipes for
their respective teams.
