Mooretown Flags Take Come From Behind Win

The Flags were in Dresden Sunday night and came away with a 3 - 2 win against the Kings in Great Lakes Jr. C Hockey league action.

After trailing 2 - 0 after the first two periods of play Mike Kindrachuk opened the scoring early in the third.  Nolan Riley tied things up at 15:44 with Ben Morrison and Alec Segers assisting, then at 18:49 the same trio scored the winning goal.

Mooretown edged Dresden in shots on goal 28 - 27.  Brandon Johnson earned the win with 25 saves, Sarnia native Joel Sowinski suffered the loss also with 25 saves.

Mooretown went zero for four on the power play, Dresden scored once on three opportunities.

The Flags remain in 4th place in the standings with a record of 19-12-2-1.  The team is back in action next Friday on the road against the Lakeshore Canadiens.  The two teams have met four times this season and are tied 2 - 2.  Lakeshore is currently in 5th spot, 2 games back with a record of 15-10-3-4. 

On Saturday the Flags returns home to face the second place Amherstburg Admirals. 20-10-3-1.
