Bowling Scores for Week Ending Jan 9, 2016

             Jamie Ridealgh, Mark Colbran, Melissa Crowe and Jim Creasor are the bowlers highlighted in the Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling report this week.

            Ridealgh had a super week as he posted two great triples to lead the way on the lanes. He tossed 792 (259-279-254 – 144 pins over average for three games) on lanes 15 & 16 in the Sunday Morning Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to take the honours for the high triple of the week. He also fired 770 (247-265-258 - 176 pins over average for three games) on lanes 33 & 34 in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record the week’s second high triple.

         Colbran registered the week’s high single as he hurled 289 – 80 pins over average – first 10 strikes on lanes 27 & 28 in his first game leaving a stubborn, unrelenting 10 pin on his next shot. He was participating in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl ending the night with 724 (254).

          Crowe bowled 680 (268) in the Tuesday Night Ladies League at Marcin Bowl to record the ladies high triple.

          Creasor won Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Four in an abnormal ending in the final match. Twenty four bowlers challenged the 2012 World Bowling Tenpin Association Montreal 41 Foot oil pattern. The top eight bowlers to qualify for match play competition were Stephane Sirois 643 (219-211-213), Roy Mezzatesta 641 (215-234), Pam Marciniszyn 617 (224), Jim Lapointe 616 (242), Jordan Croskery 585 (211-202), Jim Creasor 582 (220-202), Kyle Adamson 577 (240) and Al Scott 576 (219). The top bowler below the cut line was Justin Parkkila 568. Other 200 plus games in the qualifying round were George Reid 231, Ken Nimmo 221, Brett Zevenbergen 214, Dennis Ramsay 204, Rod Honke 203, Melissa Crowe 201 and Roger Croteau 201. Creasor defeated Mezzatesta in an exciting final match. Both bowlers were tied at 215 after the completion of the game requiring a two frame roll off. Both bowlers struck the first extra frame but Mezzatesta left a 10 pin on his next shot. Creasor then rolled another strike for the victory. Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Five will take place on February 2nd at 6:30.

          Jim Creasor wheeled 728 (254-234-240) in Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League competition. He was pursued by  Mike Shephard 719 (272-268), Brian Core 711 (258 – 153 pins over average for three games), Kyle Adamson 702 (245-233), Jeff Chortos 697 (253), George Reid 695 (257), Dennis Ramsay 680 (247), Mike Marciniszyn 679 (269), Darrell Dennett 671 (236-245), Al Scott 666 (243), Steve Lewicki 666 (246), Pat Lacasse 664 (246), Adam Pinel 664 (234-230), Jeff Raymond 257, Steve Peters 251-237, Quincy VanEkeren 246, Chris Luke 243, Billy Best 243, Randy McEachern 235, Noah Best 235 and Rick Jatel 234 – 81 pins over average.            Mike Marciniszyn rolled 719 (278) in Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s League combat. The women’s noted scores were Rachel McGrath 606 (212), Shelley Thompson 522 (201) and Marg Jackson 187.          In Marcin St. Joe’s Mixed League action, the men’s noted scores were Joe Borody 669 (233-263), Terry Mundy 613 (240) and Mason McCarthy 580 (223). The ladies were led by Diane Albert 475 (189-183), Tonie Verbeek 470 (174-171), Stella Strand 468 (170) and Crystal Borody 466.

        In Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League flurry, the men’s notable scores were Butch Wilson 649 (225-225), Tyler David 622 (232), Shane Chipman 614 (233), Kevin Dunn 605 (212-229), Steve Brain 594 (209-227), Mike Farmer 233 - 87 pins over average, Mike Vail 220, Kevin Ptolemy 213 and Rod Ross 209. The ladies’ top scores were Pam Marciniszyn 636 (214-236), Marsha Pinel 518 (211), Janice McMillan 512 (194) and Denise Kloczko 501 (198).         In Marcin 1046 Mixed League play, the men’s upper scores were Joe Borody 645 (242-214), Jim Lester 568 (212), Chris Meloche 488 (183 – 101 pins over average for three games), Derick Wilker 213 and John Hoekstra 211. The women’s top scores were Kaye Brander 525 (198-190), Karen Lupi 476 and Colleen Grant 473.           In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League fun, leading scores were Michelle Fraser 544 (196-182), Joy Timington 504 (190), Shirley Stark 477 (177) and Cheryl Millar 181. Team standings are Sapphires 43, Opal 36, Diamonds In Rough 34, Peridot Pinheads 34, Pearls Of Wisdom 30 and Gosh Garnet 29.

          In Airey Lanes Sunday Night Mixed League activity, the men’s high scores were Terry Bradburn 565 (201-190), Tom Taylor 483 (179-173), Ken McLeod 472 and Albert Peters 167. The ladies’ top scores were Michelle Fraser 498 (170), Bev Rankin 484 (185), Adwina Whitsitt 441 (160) and Pam Bullock 160.
