The Sarnia Hockey Association
Midget house league resumed
play-off action after idling for
two week due to the Boys & Girls
Silver Stick tournament.
In Tier 2 play the Lakeshore
Optimists remain in first place
after scoring three goals during
the third period to defeat
Beehive Windows and Doors 6 – 4.
Maxwell Musico recorded a pair
of goals for Lakeshore while
Logan Harvey, Darius Brooks and
Matthew Dunn each earned a goal
and an assist in their efforts.
Tristan Salsbury-Segade rounded
out the scoring with one.
Chipping in with single helpers
were Vincent Lavoie, Bryce
Dummitt, Joshua Glass, Cole
Brown and Bryson Crossett-Pomoransky.
Goalie Jonathan Kameka picked up
his fourth play-off win. Tyler
McNaught answered with a pair of
goals for Beehive while Matthew
Desrosiers and Peyton Demarco
both added a goal and an assist.
Jennifer MacNaughton supplied
two helpers and Alexander
Tanguay and Daniel Field each
supplied one. Goalie Daniel
Brush had a strong performance
despite the loss.
The four goals and two assists
from Zachery Roehler-Date in the
second period helped propel
Sarnia Cement to a 9-5 victory
over Dante Club. Mitchell Neal
chipped in with a goal and two
assists while Cole Armstrong,
Zach Turner and Craig Vanderlaan
each had a goal and an assist.
Taylor Isabelle rounded out the
scoring with one. Both Darren
Howes and Jacob Wilson picked up
an assist apiece. Lakeshore
Optimists goalie Jonathan Kameka
(in his second game) provided
his service between the pipes
for Sarnia Cement. Answering for
Dante Club was Dallas Henry with
a pair of goals while singles
markers went to Mackenzie Fiddy,
Zachery Montgomery and Tyson
Passingham. Evan Vandenbossche,
Jacob Wurgler, Tamara Stone,
Robert Smith and Passingham
garnered helpers. Goalie Kenny
Portiss made some key saves
during the contest.
The Tier 1 Midgets D&S Service
Centre remains undefeated in
play-off action after beating
Kel-Gor 11-5. Ty Espinola had a
five point night scoring twice
and adding three assists. Adam
Kapteyn also had a strong
performance as he scored a hat
trick and earned one assist.
Jacob Serratore found the back
of the net twice and also earned
an assist. Nicholas Cooper,
Ashton Williams and Adam
Vanderlaan each netted singles
and added a helper. Aaron
Cicchini rounded out the scoring
with one. Jack Soeder garnered
four helpers while Cameron
Vandenbossche earned one.
Goaltender Nicholas Gardner
picked up the win. Noah Murray
answered with four goals for
Kel-Gor and Daniel Joyce scored
once. Both Timothy MacNaughton
and Lucas Davis chipped in with
a pair of assists. Goalie
Jonathan Kameka (Tier 2)
provided his services and played
his third straight game of the
night.
Mr. Sub doubled up on Pt. Edward
Ex-Servicemen 6-3. Vaughan
Degurse lit the lamp four times
for Mr. Sub while Joseph Iaccino
and Matthew Aalbers also scored.
Drawing the assists were Jacob
Ayers, Griffin MacLeod, Adam
L’Heureux and Craig Birkhead all
with one. In his second game of
the night, goalie Nicholas
Gardner (D&S Service Centre)
provided his service in net for
Mr. Sub. Matthew Clouse scored
twice of Pt. Edward and Keegan
Bressette was the other sniper.
Ethan Kilbreath, Aaron Devereaux
and Nathaniel Pozdyk garnered
the helpers. Goalie Noah Caverly
was very busy between the pipes
for Pt. Edward.
