Ryan Vendramin Named Western Jr B Player-of-the-Month

Ryan Vendramin of the Sarnia
Legionnaires has been named
January's offensive
player-of-the month in the
Western Jr. 'B' hockey loop.
The big forward had eight goals
and 11 assists for 19 points in
a dozen games played.
Vendramin, a native of Sault
Ste. Marie, has now won three
such awards in his career. He
also captured the offensive
player of the month trophy in
February 2014 and again in
February 2015.
Here's how he won his latest
trophy:
Jan. 7 – Vendramin had three
goals and two assists as the
Legionnaires edged the Strathroy
Rockets 8-7.
Jan. 13 – He scored once and set
up a second tally as Sarnia tied
the London Nationals 5-5.
Jan. 14 – Vendramin had a goal
and an assist in a 5-3 loss to
London.
Jan. 21 – He had an assist in a
5-3 loss to Chatham.
Jan. 22 – In a 4-3 overtime
victory at St. Thomas, Vendramin
scored the winner.
Jan. 28 – Vendramin collected
two helpers as the Legion crew
dumped St. Marys 6-3.
Jan. 30 – In a game against
Lambton Shores, he had a goal
and two assists as Sarnia skated
off with a 6-4 victory.
Jan. 31 – Vendramin closed out
the month with a goal and two
assists as Sarnia rallied from a
three-goal deficit to defeat
Strathroy 4-3.
The Legionnaires have won two
individual awards so far this
campaign. Brett Storr won the
Western Jr. 'B' defensive player
of the month in December.
