
In game two of the first round
of Great Lakes Jr C playoff
series the Mooretown Flags
travelled to Lakeshore on
Tuesday and lost 5 - 4 to the
Canadiens.
The Flags led 2 - 1 after the
first period with Trevor Bogaert
and Alec Segers scoring at 9:40
and 13:47. Late in the period
Majoe Gasparovic scored on the
power play to narrow the gap.
In the second period Matt
Brandon widened the lead for the
Flags at 6:25 then at 8:42 the
Flags was handed a 4 minutes for
roughing after the whistle and
the Canadiens capitalized on
scoring back to back power play
goals at 9:30 and 9:59.
Mejoe Gasparovic scored both
power play goals for the
Canadiens.
Before the second was finished
Lakeshore added two more goals
with Logan Percy and Sebastian
Kanally scoring to end the
period leading 5 - 3.
In the third Alec Segers
narrowed the gap at the the
midway point on a power play but
time ran out and the game ended
with the Flags down 0 - 2 in the
series.
Brandon Johnson took the loss in
net turning away 26 of 31 shots.
Colin Tetreault earned the win
making 33 saves.
Mooretown went one for five on
the power play, Lakeshore scored
three on six opportunities.
The Series continue tonight
(Wednesday) for game 3 in
Mooretown at the Moore Sports
Complex. Puck drops at
8:00 pm.
