Bowling Scores for Week of Sept 26

  
Dan Chopp and Brad Cook rolled the high scores in week two of Lambton
County Tenpin Association (LCTA) bowling action this past week.

        Chopp bowled 773 (248-248-277 – 200 pins over average for three games) in the Thursday Night Border City Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record the high triple of the week.

        Cook fired 300 in the Sunday Morning Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record the high single of the week and the first perfect game of the 2015/2016 LCTA bowling season. He tossed his lifetime 2nd perfect game (his first as a Canadian Tenpin Federation member) in his 3rd game on lanes 21 and 22.

       Larry Plumb hurled 743 (268-258) in Marcin House Thursday Night Men’s League combat. He was chased by Al Scott 729 (257-269 – 162 pins over average for three games), George Reid 702 (223-233-246), Kevin Herron 693 (224-256), Mark White 663 (242-261), Jim Lapointe 662 (247), Shawn Cotterill 654 (243), Ron Charrington 645 (229),  Jordan Cote 622 (221), Fred Cole 238, Peter MacRae 237, Jean Lacroix Jr. 226 and Bill Cole 225.        Ralph MacDuff fired 735 (256-266) in Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League competition.          In Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League play, the men’s best scores were Pat McMillan 666 (246-228), Shane Chipman 659 (279), John Kelley 616 (233), Butch Wilson 248, Adam Pinel 234, Kevin McMillan 229 and Kevin Dunn 209.        In Marcin St. Joe’s Mixed League play, the men’s top scores were Joe Bourgeois 621 (237-202), Mason McCarthy 610 (207-230) and Albert Verbeek 196. The top lady bowler was Tonie Verbeek with 518 (191).

        In Marcin Triple A Mixed League fun, the gents’ noted scores were Quincy VanEkeren 613 (200-231), Walter Amyotte 608 (268), Bill Austin 601 (207-201), Ernie Anderson 206, James Docherty 203, Dave Jones 201,  Hector Babin 201 and Roger Croteau 200. The ladies’ notable scores were Susan McGrath 563 (205), Rachel McGrath 536 (200) and Dianne Fletcher 191.          In Marcin Tuesday Night Ladies League action, leading scores were Janice McMillan 599 (235), Melissa Crowe 564 (205), Jocelyn VanEkeren 519 (201), Bailey Ettinger 513 (187), Denise Walker 495 (179), Shirley Matthews 465, Pat Thompson 464, Patti Wyville 182, Diane Willemsen 177 and Laura Robertson 176. Team standings are Mel’s Angel’s 32, Investors Group 29, Team Eight 27, Lucky Seven 24, B.J’s 22, Split Decision 19, M.V.B’s 17 and Smiley Girlz 15.

          In Marcin 1046 Mixed League activity, the gentlemen’s high scores were Derick Wilker 598 (215-211) and Joe Borody 590 (245). The ladies’ top scores were Pauline Reaney 453 (182), Sue Johnston 446 (175), Audrey Herbstreit 429 and Colleen Grant 180.          In Airey Lanes Ladies Thursday Happy Hour League play, top scores from last week were Karen Corr 462 (164), Adwina Whitsitt 416 (200), Sharon Knight 416, Sharon Scott 416 and Kathy Donahue 166. This week’s leading scores were Lee Classen 453, Sharon Scott 448 (190), Adwina Whitsitt 447 (178) and Ester Waybrant 178. Team standings are Monkey 20, Elephant 18, Lion 12, Mouse 10, Seal 8 and Crocodile 4.

         In Airey Lanes Sunday Night Mixed League fun, the women’s best scores were Adwina Whitsitt 452 (164), Dorothy Inglis 447 (168) and Mary Bradshaw 446 (162). The men were led by Harold Peters 493 (181), Tom Taylor 476 (182) and Jack Farr 468 (178). Team standings are Bowl Weevil 12, The Beer Bugz 12, Fire Ants 10, Fire Flies 6, Beatles 4 and Praying Mantis 4.

         In Marcin Friday Night Mixed League action, the ladies’ high scores were Barb Montgomery 534 (197), Marilyn Mullen 469, Grace Maola 452 (172) and Barbara Heckley 437 (179). The men’s main scores were Dave Urban 570 (201), Ray Lucas 526 (206), Paul Heckley 524 (212) and John Somers 519 (206). Team standings are Splitters 7, Split Ends 7, Wicked Pins 7, Pin Tricks 3, Gutterbusters 3 and Striking Power 3.

         In Marcin Sarnia Reserve Mixed League activity, the men’s noted scores were Greg Gray 628 (202-237), Bill Smith 573 (202), Marcel Lajoie 565 (201), Marty Davidson 203 and Terry Mundy 200. The women’s upper scores were Jo Ellen Beveridge 521 (192), Marnie McQueen 503 (207) and Denise Thomas 178.

        In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League play, leading scores were Steph Chambers 546 (211), Deb Jones 533 (200-200), Cheryl Millar 490 (174) and Joy Timington 486. Team standings are Pearls Of Wisdom 4, Diamonds In Rough 4, Opal 4, Sapphires 4, Team Five 3 and Team Four 2.  

        In the Marcin SMAA Junior/Intermediate division, the boys’ notable scores were Joshua Trott 597 (256 – 87 pins over average), Ethan Boucher 458 (188), Maximillian Michelucci 447(168), Jacob Bestard 436,  Jarod Pelkie 436, Dawson Yates Strangway 209 – 88 pins over average and Craig Machan 167. The girls’ noted scores were Morgan Pelkie 525 (243 – 71 pins over average), Kira Pelkie 510 (210), Cara Cullis 472 (177 – 83 pins over average and 190 pins over average for three games) and Hollie – Ann Jean 436.

        In the Marcin SMAA Bantams/Preps division, the boys’ best scores were Ryan Pinel 404 (132-138-134), Noah Gauthier 303 (106-108), Braeden Scott 299 (108) and Jake Coggins 101-101..
