Mooretown Flags Took a Loss at Home Saturday

The Mooretown Flags hosted the Blenheim Blades Saturday night and drop a 3 -  1 decision in Great Lakes Jr. C Hockey League action.

 

The Flags scored their only goal in the first period to take the 1 - 0 lead heading into the second.  Scoring the Flags lone goal was Trevor Bogaert from Mike Kindrachuk.
 

In the second Blenheim scored 3 unanswered goals to take the lead and the score would remain the same after a scoreless third.

Nolan VandenBoom scored the first goal for Blenheim on a power play and Zack Horvath added the final two.

 

Blenheim outshot the Flags 32 - 26.  Flags netminder Nolan Hakr took the loss turning away 29.

 

Mooretown went scoreless on three power play opportunities, Blenheim scored once on four chances.

 

The Flags record is now 5 - 3 and the team sees action next Saturday at home against the Essex 73's (9-1).
