The St. Pat's Irish Boys High School
Hockey Team defeated Northern recently by a score of 7-2 in the
leagues first exhibition game.
Leading the scoring for the Irish were Matt Sawatzky and Nick
Discanno each with 2 goals. The line of Sawatzky, Ryan Greenaway and
Hunter Monkhouse was dominant for St. Pat's accounting for 6 points
between them.
Jakob Knowles and Patrick Kelly were strong in net for the Irish
limiting the Vikings to just 2 goals.
The Irish next play this Thursday in a tournament in Strathroy.
The regular season for boys high school hockey commences November
26th.
