Western Counties Wolverines U15 Lost Double Header in Season Opener

The Western Counties Wolverines U15 AAA baseball team has been selected and played a double header on the road against the London Badgers this past weekend. The Wolverines lost both games to the Badgers losing 8-7 and 3-1.

In Game 1- Jacob Breault , Drew Pepper, Brett Allardyce and Grant Spence combined for a 1 hitter over 6 innings but the London Badgers took advantage of the lack of control as walks were an issue in the 8-7 loss. Jake Taylor and Jacob Breault lead the offence each with a double while singles went to Greg Hay, Evan Rogers and Brett Allardyce.

In Game 2 – Grant Spence and Greg Hay pitched well for the Wolverines but gave up 4 hits over 6 innings to the London Badgers for a 3-1 loss. The Wolverines couldn’t muster much offence in this game as the only hit was an RBI single by Greg Hay.
