Short Course Sting Meet Success for Rapids 2 Swimmers

Seven swimmers from Sarnia Rapids 2 Swim Team recently participated in the Sting Short Course Meet; all participants were medal winners and six swimmers were gold medal recipients.

Magaidh Crossland (16) earned three gold medals in 200m IM, 100m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke. Meaghan Gregoris (15) achieved a gold medal in 200m IM and 200m Fly, as well as a silver medal in 100m Freestyle. Burak Gurtekin (11) was a double gold medal winner in 200m IM and 100m Freestyle; he also earned a silver medal in 100m Breaststroke. Sophie Victor (9) did her team proud with golds in 200m IM and 100m Freestyle; she also earned a silver for 100m Breaststroke.

Rachel Dalton (14) earned a gold medal in 100m Freestyle and 2 silver medals in 200m IM and 200m Backstroke. Mylena Vallee (14) won gold for the 100m Breaststroke, silver for the 50m Breaststroke and bronze for the 100m Freestyle. In addition, Sarah Visser (13) was a double bronze medal winner in the 50m Breaststroke and the 100m Freestyle.
