The Western Counties
Wolverines U15 baseball team
hosted a pair of double
headers over the weekend
posting a 3-1 record.
In Courtright, the
Wolverines hosted the
Stratford Indians losing
game one 8-0. Grant Spence
took the loss while Jacob
Breault had a double and
singles went to Dillion
Timperly, Drew Pepper and
Spence.
Game two was a comeback
thriller as the Wolverines
posted 4 runs in the bottom
of the 7th with
Drew Pepper’s walk off
single to post the 7-6
victory. Evan Rogers lead
the offence going 3 for 3
while Joel Pavey had 2 RBI’s.
Pepper also picked up the
win in relief of Greg Hay.
On Sunday in Chatham at
Fergie Jenkins Field the
Wolverines swept the Walker
Home Sites Hawks Major
Bantams with 7-1 and 7-3
victories.
Game one starter Jake taylor
picked up the win going 5
innings while Dillion
Timperly finished off the
Hawks. Grant Spence had a
double while singles went to
Kyle Blunt, Drew Pepper and
Timperly.
Kyle Blunt picked up the
Game two win while Joel
Pavey had the save getting
the last eleven outs. Grant
Spence lead the offence
going 2 for 3 with a triple
and single while Taylor,
Pepper, Rogers, Pavey and
Brett Allardyce picked up
singles.

action is in Sarnia at
Blackwell Park Wednesday

PM versus the Wyoming
