It was a repeat performance for Gerry Wild and Bill Nowosad at the most recent Sarnia Lawn Bowling Club tournament.

The duo from the local club won first place in the Robb Funeral Home Open Pairs Tournament, held July 18, after also winning the club’s previous pairs tournament. Sixteen teams contested the event, which was cut short after two games (instead of the usual three) by a severe storm. Based on the two games played, second place went to Dave Moffitt and Don Aitchisan, while third place was taken by Blake McKay and Joe McGill.

New bowlers are welcome at regular club fun jitneys on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. at the club facilities in Germain Park.
