
The Sarnia Lady Sting Atom B
hockey team had a full
weekend with three games in
three days. Friday night the
Ladies were home to the
London Devilettes at
Clearwater Arena. The game
ended in a 3-3 tie, goal
scorers for the Lady Sting
were, Lauren Jackson with 2
and Makayla Barclay. Assists
going to Kenzie Lacroix and
Sarah Gardner.
Saturday afternoon the girls
were back home at the RBC
Centre to take on the St.
Thomas Panthers. Final score
Sarnia 3 and St. Thomas 0.
Scoring for Sarnia were
Teagan Cox with 2 and a
single by Tessa Jackson.
Assisting on the goals were
Cadence MacDonald, Kaitlyn
Handy, Abby Armitage, Sarah
Gardner and Kenzie Lacroix.
Peyton Burgess earned the
shutout, with several good
saves including stopping a
breakaway with 0.8 seconds
left in the 3rd period.
On Sunday the girls traveled
to Windsor to play the
Wildcats. Final score Sarnia
6 and Windsor 2.

Sarnia is in first place in
the West Divison of the
Lower Lakes Female Hockey
League with a record of
13-2-4 for a total of 30
points. Chatham is
following close behind in
second spot with 29 points
with a record of 13-4-3.
The Lady Sting return to
action on Jan. 23 at
Clearwater against the
Bluewater Hawks. The
Hawks are in third place
with a record of 9-6-3 for a
total of 21 points.
