Lady Sting Midget A Ace the Aces

The Sarnia Lady Sting Midget A team travelled to Stratford on Sunday, to take on the Aces for the final meeting of the year.

The Aces would open the scoring in the first period taking a 1-0 lead, before the Lady Sting would find their legs and tie the score on a goal by Marissa Johnson.

In the 2nd period the Aces would find the back of the net again to take a 2-1 lead. Mid-way thru the 2nd period the Sarnia would tie the game on a hard slap shot from the point by Samantha Villanueva. The game remained tied until Tabetha Duquette scored on a great individual effort with 5 minutes remaining, to grab the 3-2 lead and secure the win for the Lady Sting.

With the win the Lady Sting took a 3 game sweep in the regular season series against the Aces.

Next game are back on the road January 18, 2015 in Kitchener.
