New Year Brings in High Scores on the Lanes

The New Year has
brought in some super scores on
the lanes in Lambton County
Tenpin Association (LCTA)
bowling action. Chad Zonneville,
Kyle Skinner, George Reid, Kyle
Adamson and Roy Mezzatesta are
the latest bowlers who dominated
the pins this week in league
competition at Marcin Bowl.
Zonneville fired 847
(279-290-278 – 193 pins over
average for three games) in the
Bluewater Monday Night Men’s
League tossing 32 out of a
possible 36 strikes to own the
week’s high triple. He was
bowling on lanes 17 & 18
recording his career 2nd 800
series and the 2nd
800 series in LCTA bowling
action this season. He holds the
LCTA record of 853 (278-298-277)
which he established in November
22, 2011.
Left handed bowler
Skinner tossed 807 (290-299 –
solid 7 pin - 88 pins over
average - 218 - 174 average for
three games) in the Sunday
Morning Men’s League. It was his
highest single game and also his
first 800 series of his young
bowling career. He was
participating on lanes 13 & 14
stringing together twenty-two
consecutive strikes in his first
two games to record the first
800 series in LCTA this season.
Reid tossed 780
(289-267) on lanes 15 & 16 in
the Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s
League.

Men’s League.
Mezzatesta wheeled
eleven consecutive strikes only
to leave an unapologetic 9 pin
to finish with 299 -87 pins over
average to record the week’s
high single. He was bowling in
the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s
League on lanes 19 & 20 ending
the night with 715 (233).
Marcin Bowl Shoot Out
Four took place on Tuesday night
with twenty-eight courageous
bowlers participating on the
difficult PBA BADGER oil
pattern. The top eight bowlers
to qualify for match play
competition were Steve Lewicki
654 (211-202-241), George Reid
607 (220-222), Jim Creasor 591
(227-203), Dennis Ramsay 567
(210), Jordan Croskery 567, Roy
Mezzatesta 550 (228), Kyle
Adamson 549 (210) and Jordan
Cote 541. Melissa Crowe was at
the top position below the cut
line with 539. Stephane Sirois
also bowled a 212 game in the
qualifying round. Steve Lewicki
defeated Dennis Ramsay 200-157
in the final match. Steve
Lewicki and Roy Mezzatesta each
have two victories under their
belts in the first four Marcin
Bowl Shoot Outs. They are the
bowlers to beat in the next
Shoot Out which will be held on
Tuesday Feb 3rd at
6:30.
