Lambton Jr. Sting Minor Atom Weekend Results
january 6, 2015

Lambton AAA Jr.
Sting Minor Atoms saw action
over the weekend with a game on
the road and one at home.
On Saturday the
team travelled to Kitchener and
were blanked 5 - 0.
Hardest worker awards went to
Aaron Shanks, Garrett Pearce and
Lucas Gaspari.
“Tough
road game," Head Coach Corey
Pageau said "The kids came out
hard but with only 2 lines
dressed the wheels sort of fell
off.”
On Sunday the Jr.
Sting hosted the Windsor Jr.
Spitfires and the two teams
ended with a 2 - 2 tie.
"We had our
opportunities to win this
important game, but a disallowed
goal and some bad bounces
resulted in a tie."
Aaron Shanks and
Garrett Pearce scored for the
Jr. Sting and Adam Maitland
earned an assist. Hardest
worker awards were presented to
Netminder Carter La Rocque and
Garrett Pearce.
"I was a little
disappointed in the overall
effort of the team as this was a
game we had circled on the
calendar for a while, as we are
in a dogfight for the 4th
playoff spot with Windsor.
Hopefully we can healthy soon
and start making a big push for
the playoffs. Affiliated
Players, Will Hull and Jace
McGrail were both strong for us
tonight.”
The Jr. Sting are
now 1 point behind Windsor with
a record of 7-15-2.
The team is back
in action next weekend with two
home games at the RBC Centre,
the first on Saturday January 10
against Chatham and then on
Sunday against London Jr.
Knights. Both games begin
at 12:00 pm.
