Lambton Jr. Sting Minor Atom AAA Playoff Action
FEBRUARY 18, 2015

The Lambton AAA
Minor Atom team are in the
Consolation playoff round
against Chatham and after two
games Chatham leads the best of
five West division series 3
points to 1.
In the first game last Saturday
Lambton hosted Chatham and lost
with a final score of 7 – 5.
“Came out a little flat,
considering it was our first
game of playoffs,” Head Coach
Corey Pageau said. “We
were down 4-1 after 10 minute in
the first period that put us
behind the 8-ball. But the Kids
battled back to make it 5-5 but
couldn’t finish it off. “
Jaxon Priddle scored twice for
the Jr. Sting and Adam Osler,
Adam Maitland and Garrett Pearce
each scored singles.
Picking up points with assists
were Tanner Winegard, Cameron
McCarthy, Aaron Shanks, Ryan
Pageau, Landon Buckingham, Ryan
Vidler.
Hardest worker awards went to
Adam Maitland, Ryan Vidler and
Isaac Oliphant.
In game two the following day in
Chatham the two teams skated to
a 3 – 3 tie.
Jaxon Priddle, Adam Osler and
Tanner Winegard scored for
Lambton and earning assists on
the goals were Adam Maitland and
Isaac Oliphant.
Hardest worker went to Jaxon
Priddle Adam Maitland and Aaron
Shanks.
Coach Pageau felt that Lambton
was the better of the two teams
but was disappointed with the
three goals allowed in the
third.
“Team played strong but two
disallowed goals and 10 penalty
minutes for the Sting versus 4
to Chatham makes it difficult. “
Pageau said
The two teams are back in action
this weekend with a home game in
Sarnia on Saturday Feb 20 and
back in Chatham on Sunday Feb
21.
“I expect the kids to battle
back and make this a series that
goes down to the wire.” Said
Pageau
The winner of
this series moves to the final
in the Consolation Playoff
series against the winner of the
East Division Semi final round
between Brantford and Cambridge.
Currently Brantford is leading 3
points to 1.
