The Huron Lakers Atom girls
basketball team brought home
bronze medals at their first
tournament of the season.
The team played in the
St.Catharines tournament this
past weekend and dominated in
games against Niagara Falls, and
Ancaster and lost to a strong
Stoney Creek team in pool play.
They finished second in their
pool which put them in the
bronze medal game against the
host, St. Catharines Rebels. The
Lakers came out on top 19-15 in
a very intense hard fought
battle.
The coaches are very happy with
the play and effort so early in
the season.
They host their home Huron
Lakers tournament in the New
Year with games to be played the
weekend of Jan 9th-10th.
