The standings after week eight
of the regular season in Sarnia
Hockey Association Tier 1
Midgets have D&S Service Centre
(coaches Glenn Cottom & Tim
Turner) on top with 10 points
while Mr. Sub (coaches Ken Ayers
& Rob Manktelow) is in second
with 9 points. Pt. Edward
Ex-Servicemen (coaches Jamie
Kells & Gary Watson) sit third
with 8 points and Kel-Gor
(coaches Jon Hyde & Keith
McCrory) has 5 points.
D&S Service Centre and
Kel-Gor battled hard ending in a
4-4 draw.
Adam Vanderlaan chipped in with
a goal and an assists for D&S
while Jacob Serratore, Nicholas
Cooper and Peter Raymo all had
singles. Cameron Vandenbossche
earned two assists and Aaron
Cicchini, Jack McAuley and Evan
Marshall all had one. Noah
Murray scored twice (including
the tying goal) for Kel-Gor and
Timothy MacNaughton scored once
and added two assists. Donald
Stephenson rounded out the
scoring with one. Both Ryan Nutt
and Kristopher Meads picked up
one assist apiece.
Goaltenders Nicholas Gardner
(D&S) 4-2-2 and Lucas Cicchelli
(Kel-Gor) 2-4-1 gave solid
performances between the pipes
for their respective teams.
League’s leading scorer Vaughan
Degurse added three goals and
one assist to his stats while
helping Mr. Sub defeat Pt.
Edward Ex- Servicemen 7-4.
Notching singles from Mr. Sub
were Joseph Iaccino, Ethan
Dufour, Matthew Aalbers and
Jordan Ayers. Jacob Ayers
chipped in with two assists
while Ryan Gould and Andrew
Kapteyn each had one. Answering
for Pt. Edward Ex-Servicemen
with two goals was Cameron
Orrange. Both Keelan Kells and
Liam Austin rounded out the
scoring with one apiece.
Credited with single helpers
were Connor Coopman, Aaron
Devereaux and Nathan Pozdyk.
Goalies Hendrik Lindout (Mr.
Sub) 4-3-1 and Noah Caverly (Pt.
Ed)3-3-2 made a number of key
saves during the contest.
