Sarnia Lawn Bowling Latest Tournament Results

Corn on the cob and bowling were on the menu when the Sarnia Lawn Bowling Club held its latest tournament event on Aug. 13.

The Feige Denture Clinic in-club pairs tournament began with a supper of corn and hotdogs, then 36 satisfied bowlers took to the greens for a pair of 10-end games.

When they were completed, the team of Gord McKay and Debbie Whitfield had won both their games and compiled the highest score, edging out Ed Braithwaite and Brian Bolt who finished second and Blake McKay and Mike Stewart who took third.

Regular bowling continues weekly at the lawn bowling greens in Germain Park. The local club will be holding the provincial novice championships in early September.
