Sarnia Lady Sting Novice C Provincial Champions

The Sarnia Jr Lady Sting Novice C won the OWHA Provincial Championships this weekend in Mississauga going undefeated.

The girls defeated Brockville 5-1, Lucan 6-2 and North York 5-0 in the round robin finishing first overall and getting a bye to the semi-final round.

Sarnia met Lucan in the semi where they won 3-1 to move onto the finals against Woodstock. Woodstock gave a good fight but Sarnia won 5-2 to clinch the gold medal.

The team includes Ella Ferrera, Marin James, Sara MCahill, Shannon James, Rhylyn Hicks, Neely Jewell, Tahlia Kelch, Haley Denney, Mara Draper, Avery Robinson, Aydra Scott, Gracie Harse, Lauren Harvey, Sienna Renton, Hailey Cox, Paige VanSickle and Krysten Campbell.

The coaches are Paul Ferrera, Ron Hicks, Jamie Draper with Carly Stamm as Trainer.
