Mooretown Flags Down Wallaceburg in Exhibition Action

The Mooretown
Flags Jr. C hockey team
travelled to Wallaceburg
Wednesday night for their second
exhibition game and took a 6 - 2
win over the Wallaceburg Lakers.
Mooretown scored one goal in the
first, two in the second and
three in the third.
Wallaceburg scored the first and
last goals in the third period.
Justin VanBuskirk led the way
with 3 goals, and single goal by
Aiden Chapdelaine, Calvin
Hughson and Alec Segers.
Assisting on the goals were
Brent Blais, Sam Jasmin, Paker
Gilhuly, Dallas Harper, Alec
Segers and Aiden Chapdelaine.
Scoring for the Lakers were
rookies Brendan Ritchie and
Josh Berkvens with Jordon
Eagen and Brock Daugherty
assisting on the goals.
Goaltending duties for
Mooretown were shared by
James Caron, Riley Collins
and Steven Taylor.
Scotty Grey and Keelor Irwin
shared the duties for the
Lakers.
Mooretown took ten minutes
in penalties on five
infractions, Wallaceburg was
given eight minutes on four
infractions. Both sides were
scoreless on the power play.
The Flags are now 1 - 1 in
exhibition play and are back
on the road Friday night in
Dresden and return home against
Wallaceburg Saturday night. Puck drop for both
games is 7:30pm.
