Lambton Jr. Sting Minor Atoms

On Saturday at home at the RBC
Centre the Lambton Jr. Sting
Minor Atom AAA team took a solid
9 - 3 win over the Cambridge
Hawks in Alliance Hockey League
action.
“Team played
well today." Head Coach Cory
Pageau said "After starting off
with a couple of losses the boys
worked hard all week with 3
practices and 2 off ice
condition sessions."
Cameron McCarthy and Tanner
Winegard each scored 2 goals
with singles by Adam Maitland,
Jaxon Priddle, Nolan Mumford,
Aaron Shanks and Garrett Pearce.
Maitland and Shanks earned a
total of three points in the
game with the addition of 2
assists. Ryan Vidler
assisted on two goals and Luke
Doan, Isaac Oliphant, Jaxon
Priddle, Nolan Mumford, Bo
Doxtator, Garrett Pearce, Ryan
Pageau and Landon Buckingham all
contributed with single assists.
"Saw the
payoff with some good puck
movement, strong pursuit of the
puck and better defensive zone
awareness. "Coach Pageau said
Caiden Smit earned the win in
net for the Jr. Sting that
earned him being named as one of
the the Hardest Worker Award
Recipients in the game.
"Solid
goaltending helped us open up
offensively resulting in 9
goals." Coach Pageau said
Bo Doxtator and Landon
Buckingham also were name
Hardest Workers in the game.
Next weekend the team will
compete in the Rumble on the
Rink Tournament in the USA.
"Looking
forward to a good week of
practice before heading to our
first tournament in Detroit next
weekend.” Coach Pageau said
