
The Lambton Jr.
Sting Major Midget
AAA team, played
their first
exhibition game on
Tuesday night
against the London
Jr. Knights.
It was a very fast
paces game on both
sides with great
passing and
defensive skill.
Both teams had
chances to score,
but good goaltending
from both sides keep
the first period
scoreless.
The second period
seen both teams
fighting hard again,
it would be the
knights that would
score first in the
period on a goal
from Connor Hill
unassisted.
Five minutes later
the knights would
widen the gap by two
on a goal by Adam
Keyes assisted by
Derrick Johnson and
Wesley Kelly.
That would be the
only scoring in the
second period. The
third period found
the Sting getting
their first goal by
Nick Spagnuolo with
assist from Alec
DeKoning and Alec
Seagers.
Less than 3 minutes
later the Jr. Sting
would tie it up on a
goal by Marco Mini
from Brock Perry and
Logan Scott. Shortly
after tying the game
the sting went ahead
with a goal by Matt
Stevens assist to
Alec DeKoning and
Jarret Marks.
The Jr. Sting would
hold onto their lead
and defeat the
knights 3-2.
Three minor
penalties were
assigned to each
team, and the
goaltending for the
sting was shared by
Shayne Battler and
Travis Moore.
