Western Counties Wolverines finish 4th at OBA Minor Bantam AAA

The WC Wolverines Minor Bantams had a outstanding weekend at the OBA -AAA tournament @ Burlington. The team defeated the Vaughn Vikings 8-4 in game #1 and the Windsor Stars 2-1 in game #2. This earned the team a bye in round 3. The Wolverines then faced the two time defending champs, the Mississauga Tigers, on Saturday evening. The Wolverines built up a 5-1 lead after 5 innings, but could not finish the talented Tigers off. Mississauga came back to win 6-5. The team then faced the North York Blues in the semi-finals Sunday morning but lost 5-2.
Overall, the Wolverines finished an impressive 4th place out the field of 12 teams. In the championship game, the Mississauga Tigers mercied North York 14-4 to repeat as OBA champs for the third straight year.
