Sarnia Spirit U16's at Michigan Soccer Classic

The Sarnia Spirit U16's
competed in the Michigan
Soccer Classic this past
weekend in Rochester Hills.
In game one the Spirit
played the Makki Soccer
Academy to a 0-0. In game
two, the Spirit defeated FC
Bolton 2-0 on goals by Emma
Colman and Katie Barwitzki.
Game three saw the Spirit
defeat the Gators SC 6-0.
Chloe Kennedy scored three
times with singles to Lauren
Shaw, Kyleigh Arthur, and
Katie Barwitzki. Cassidy
Edlington was in goal for
all three shutouts.
In the final, the
Spirit lost 1-0 to Oak
Ridges from Toronto. The U16
Spirit team has now
concluded its outdoor season
and will have tryouts in the
fall. The team will play
indoor soccer at the BMO
Centre in London and will
play a year up in the U18
London Indoor League
beginning in late October.
