The Corunna Giants PeeWee team claimed the 2014 OBA PeeWee 'C' Championship after winning 6 of 7 games over Labour Day weekend in Leamington.

The Giants opened the tournament with a Friday night 14-11 victory over Tecumseh and then reeled off 3 more victories on Saturday over Essex (13-4), Leamington (8-7), and Tillsonburg (15-4).

As the only unbeaten team heading into Sunday the Giants stayed in the driver's seat with a 12-8 Semi-Final victory over Kincardine to head to the Finals without a loss.

The Giants would have two cracks at the Championship as the other Semi winner, Tillsonburg, would have to win twice in succession to claim the title.

The first game was the only time in the tournament that the Giants' bats did not dominate and Tillsonburg came away with a 11-1 mercy win to force a 'winner-takes-all' Championship Game.

The Giants would not be denied as they played their best game of the tournament putting on clinic on both offence and defense.
The bats blasted out double digits in hits while they played one hit, no error baseball in the field.

Corunna came out on top with a dominating 11-0 mercy win to claim the 2014 OBA Championship!

This is the 3rd OBA Championship for this group as they also won the title in their Major Rookie and Major Mosquito seasons.
