The Lambton Sting Minor
Bantams played twice over
the weekend, winning 4-2
over Elgin Middlesex at
home on Saturday before
falling 7-0 in Cambridge on
Sunday afternoon.
The Sting got off to a quick
start Saturday, scoring 3
times in the first period
and cruising to their first
win of the regular season.
Liam Madill, Bryce Twohey
and Hunter Monkhouse scored
first period goals while
Jacob Rochford added an
insurance marker in the
third period. Liam McCarthy
faced 24 shots in the Sting
net to earn the victory as
Lambton extended it’s
unbeaten streak to 3 games.
Sunday was a different story
as the Sting travelled to
Cambridge to face-off
against the top team in the
East Division. The Sting
kept the game scoreless
after one period, but from
then on it was all Hawks as
Cambridge scored 6 times in
the second period and
coasted to a 7-0 victory.
