The Sarnia Firefighter's
Association Razor Claws
prevailed over the Bill
Dennis Jr Exit Realty Twin
Bridges Inferno 30-6. Tyler
Hopwood and Reilly Dumond
led the Razor Claws with a
pair of touchdowns. Hopwood
on runs of 1 and 35 yards,
Dumond on dashes of 10 and
30 yards. Speedy Jack Vozza
also scampered to the end
zone from 10 yards out.
Dante Musokotwan, who also
had a standout defensive
game, scored the major for
the Inferno on a long run of
40 yards.
The Steeves and Rozema Shock
Wave outscored the Sylvan
Learning Centre Firebolts
24-12. Tyler Kerby score
three touchdowns and Liam
Swanson sped almost the
entire field on a 47 yard
touchdown gallop for the
victors. Quarterback Owen
Piggott took the ball to the
house on a 12 yard run and
Cameron Rand ran through
three tackles on route to
the other major for the
Bolts.
Peewee Division
The Robinson Design and
Drafting Vortex came to play
and were victorious over the
Vidal Pharmacy Buzz Saw
20-6. The first time they
had the ball the Vortex
drove the length of the
field, taking up the entire
first quarter. This march
concluded with a 2 yard
plunge up the middle by
recently converted lineman
Brendan Gilliard. Travis
Kerrigan ran the convert
over the goal line. Styles
Greenbird capped the second
possession of the Vortex
with a 30 yard touchdown
run, giving his team a 13-0
half time lead. The Buzz
Saw closed the deficit to
13-6 on their first
possession of the second
half when Spencer Villemaire
plowed into the end zone
from the one yard line.
Greenbird capped the scoring
in the final quarter, this
time on a 4 yard run and
successfully converted his
major.
The Lanxess Avengers came
out on top in their battle
with the Rob Simrak Magic
Realty Sky Fire 22-7. The
Sky Fire came out blazing
and concluded their initial
drive on a 15 yard touchdown
run by Perry Moffatt.
Jackson Grasse converted
this touchdown on a heads up
play as he took the high
snap and sped to the corner
for 1 point. From then on,
it was all Avengers. Dray
Pepper, Nick Vacek and Josh
Hillsdon all scored
touchdowns for the victors.
Vacek successfully converted
two of these majors. Pepper
also led the defense with a
pair of interceptions and
many outstanding tackles.
Grasse was the standout
player defensively for the
Sky Fire making tackles from
sideline to sideline.
