Atom Division
The Sarnia firefighter's
Association Razor Claws
continued their undefeated
season with a hard fought
victory over the Sylvan Learning
Centre Fire Bolts. The game
turned into a defensive battle
with numerous turnovers on both
sides. The only touchdowns in
the game occurred in the first
half and were scored on a 22
yard dash by Parker Wyant and a
9 yard run by Reilly Dumond.
Both defences stood tall on
numerous occasions in the 12-0
Razor Claw victory.
The game between the Steeves and
Rozema Shock Wave and the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 62 Iron
Hides turned into a shootout
with the Shock Wave prevailing
36-30. Connor Cini, Tyler Kerby
and Liam Swanson each scored a
pair of touchdowns for the
victors. Nathan Tremblay led
the Iron Hides with 3 majors and
Nathan Cope had a pair of
touchdowns. Fisher Brooks ran
hard for the Iron Hides as well.
Bantam Division
The Mechanical Contractor's
Association Toros defeated the
Sarnia Police Association Tiger
Sharks 20-12. The Toros took an
8-6 lead to the intermission
based on a 38 yard run by Brett
Riley and a convert by Zachary
Tremblay. Cole Rogers countered
for the Tiger Sharks on a 1 yard
quarterback sneak. In the
second half, Riley scored two
more majors on runs of 1 and 43
yards. James Archer sprinted
off tackle and into the end zone
for the Sharks.
The first place Mammoet Crane
Mammoths continued to roll on,
this time with a 44-6 victory
over the Optimist Club of Sarnia
Lakeshore Grizzlies. Joel Card
and Hunter Hendrie each ran for
2 touchdowns. Card's were on a
kick off return of 90 yards and
a dash from 29 yards out.
Hendrie's majors were on
quarterback keepers of 55 and 68
yards. Aiden Wildfong showed
his speed on a 75 yard run and
Isaac Kidd contributed another
major from the 1. Justin Cain
converted three of the
touchdowns. The final two
points for the Mammoths came
when Hendrie tackled a Grizzly
in the end zone for a two point
safety. Jackson Smiley had many
long runs for the Grizzlies and
counted their touchdown.
