Andrew Davies Boys' Singles champion

The LKSSAA Tennis Championship were held on Wednesday, October 8 at the Sarnia Riding Club and Sarnia Tennis Club.

The overall team championship was won by Sarnia St. Pat’s followed by Chatham-Kent  and John McGregor  (tied for 2^nd ), Northern (4^th), Lambton Central and St. Clair (tied for 5^th).

Individual championship results were:

Boys Singles:   Andrew Davies (Northern) defeated Aiden Poole (Chatham-Kent) 8-1

Boys Doubles:  Josh Ashby & Evan Thibert (Chatham-Kent) defeated Sam Wilcox & Tanner Goldsmith   (John McGregor) 8-4

Girls Singles:    Sarah Barry (St. Pat’s) defeated Elise McInnes (St. Pat’s) 8-1

Girls Doubles:   Clara & Catherine Rastin (St. Pat’s) defeated Kara Hueniken & Deanne Lo (Chatham-Kent) 8-2

Mixed Doubles: Darby Barnard & Nick VanDerPaelt (John McGregor) defeated Keli Grant & Raj Dighe (Northern) 8-6

Molly Beauchamp and Lyndsey Osler finished 3rd in Girls' Doubles

B-Side Finals:

Boys Singles:   Justin Baker (John McGregor) defeated Griffen Allen (Lambton Central) 8-4        

Boys Doubles:  James Pavey & Paul Whitson (St. Pat’s) defeated John Milsap & Tristan Buntrock (St. Clair) 8-4

Girls Singles:    Laura Polowick (John McGregor) defeated Ashley Herfst (John McGregor) 8-2

Girls Doubles:   Lindsey Osler & Molly Beauchamp (Northern) defeated Alison Rae & Ceara Travis (John McGregor) 8-7 (2)

Mixed Doubles: Julie Earle & Lee Kucera (Chatham-Kent) defeated Amy Li & Priyank Patel (Northern) 8-4

All of the above winners and finalists advance to the SWOSSAA championship to be held on October 16 in Chatham.
