Sarnia Lady Sting Atom B Take Two

The Sarnia Lady
Sting Atom B team went 2 – 0
over the weekend. In their first
game the Lady Sting hosted the
Chatham Outlaws and took a 3 – 2
win.
Chatham started strong holding a
2-0 lead after the first period.
Sarnia battled back and went on
and scored 3 unanswered goals
for the win. Lauren Jackson
scored all three goals for
Sarnia with assists going to
Makayla Barclay and Robyn
Storey.
Peyton Burgess earned the win in
net for the Lady Sting.

On Sunday the Ladies traveled to
London to go against the
Devilettes. Sarnia shut out the
Devilettes with a final score of
2 – 0. Lauren Jackson continued
her scoring streak scoring both
of the goals with Makayla
Barclay assisting.
Great defensive play by Kensie
Lacroix, Abby Armitage, Kiara
MacDonald, Sarah Gardner,
Felicia Park, and Cadence
MacDonald, for their strong play
in front of netminder Peyton
Burgess who earned her first
league shutout and her 6th
for the season including
tournament wins.

The Atom B Ladies are in first
place in the West division in
the Lower Lakes Female Hockey
League with an undefeated record
of 4-0-1.
Next weekend the Lady Sting are
on the road to Belle River
against the Lakeshore Lightning.
The Lightning are two games back
currently are 2-1-0 in the early
season.
