Foursome Are Week’s Top Bowlers
Greg Gray, Justin Parkkila, Ben
Lapointe and Morgan Pelkie are
the top bowlers in Lambton
County Tenpin Association
bowling action this past week.
They all hurled their leading
scores in different leagues at
Marcin Bowl.
Gray rolled 768 (266-289 – 97 pins
over average – 192 pins over
average for three games) in the
Sarnia Reserve Mixed League to
record the high triple of the
week. It was Gray`s personal
best triple and single.
Parkkila rolled his career 2nd
perfect game in the Sunday
Morning Men’s League to have the
high single honours. He fired
the gem in his first game on
lanes 17 & 18 ending the day
with a 695 triple. It was the 3rd
perfect game in Lambton County
Tenpin Association action this
season.
Fifteen year Ben Lapointe wheeled
642 (246 – 71 pins over average)
in the Bluewater Monday Night
Men’s League to record the
gent’s youth high triple.
Lapointe, who started bowling at
age 4, has seen his bowling
skills improve daily rewarding
him already with many tournament
victories in his young bowling
career. He has won several
provincial single, doubles and
team tournaments. He has 2
victories and a second place
finish in the Youth Bowling Tour
which commenced two years ago.
He also has won a Marcin Bowl
youth shoot out tournament this
year.
Thirteen old Morgan Pelkie bowled
632 (237 – 237 -71 pins over
average) in the SMAA Juniors
division to record the girl’s
youth high triple. Her previous
high triple was 604.
Morgan started
bowling at age 5 and her highest
game is 262..
She has had
great success in her young
bowling career so far, winning
the provincial handicap
tournament in her division in
2011 and winning her scratch
division in the 2013 provincial
tournament in London.
Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Three will
take place on Tuesday December 2nd
at 6:30 on the PBA Scorpion oil
pattern lane conditions.
