Dupont & Hewton to Represent Mooretown at Jr. C. Showcase

Lakeshore – The
Lakeshore Canadiens will host
the 2014 Jr. C showcase event
featuring some of the top young
local hockey players on
Thursday, Nov. 27 at the Atlas
Tube Centre in Belle River. Game
time is 7 pm.
Representing
Mooretown at the Showcase are
Forwards Ethan Dupont and Austin
Hewton.
Ethan Dupont a 5'10 160lb right
winger from Corunna, Ont and
former Lambton AAA player was
selected by the Sudbury Wolves
in the 12th round of the OHL
Priority Selection. He has
accumulated 10 points so far
this season with 4 goals and 6
assists and leads the team with
47 penalty minutes.
Austin Hewton, 5'10 185 lb
centerman from Point Edward is
also a former Lambton AAA player
has 1 goal to his credit and 22
minutes in penalties so far this
season.
The Jr. C Top
Prospects Game will pit the top
1997 and 1998 birth year players
from the Great Lakes Junior C
Hockey League against those from
the Southern Ontario Junior
Hockey League.
The game will be
an opportunity for scouts to
observe firsthand some of the
top young talent, and fans to
witness what promises to be an
exciting night of junior hockey.
The Great Lakes
team will have the Lakeshore
coaching staff behind the bench,
including head coach Robb
Serviss, assistants Trevor
Crevatin and Rene Loignon and
trainer Derek Randall.
