Lambton College Men's Basketball Defeated OCAA #5 Ranked Team

The Lambton College men's basketball team defeated the OCAA #5 ranked Sheridan Bruins 89-80 at home on Saturday night. The Lions move to 3-4 on the season, tied for fourth in the OCAA West.

Mike Lucier led the Lions with 23 points and 21 rebounds. Shawn Hill led all scorers with 29 points, Branden Padgett had 23, Jordane Tello 8, Jaason Heron 4, and Frank Benneh 2.

"We really worked hard on being prepared for their pressure," says Lions coach James Grant. "They are such an athletic team, they press so well, we happened to execute at a high level and do some great things. It was a great effort all around."

The Lambton women dropped a 71-57 decision to Sheridan. They are now 1-6 on the year and are in 8th spot in the West.

Lambton hosts Sault College next weekend in a home doubleheader Friday and Saturday.
