Bluewater Boxer Brings Home Gold

Twenty four year old Jacob Free of the Bluewater Boxing Club in Sarnia competed at the Windsor Amateur Boxing Club Show on Saturday in Windsor and brought home the gold medal.

 

 

Free defeated fellow Sarnian Blair Reid in three rounds by an unanimous decision.  Reid is a member of the Lambton St. Clair Boxing Club.

 

Free is coached by Tom Hennessey and Wade Fleming.  The local pipefitter and member of Local 663 began his boxing career at the age of 14 years old.  This was his 5th fight and is record now stands at 4 - 1.  He is planning on competing in two more fights at the end of this month in Toronto.
