In the season opener the Sarnia Spirit U16 soccer team travelled to Waterloo and came away with a 1 - 1 tie.  Waterloo United A  scored first and Kristy Hodgins scored in the second half to give the Spirit a well deserved tie. Waterloo A is the team to beat in the WOYSL L3 League this season as they were relegated last season from the L1 League.
