LSSAA Soccer Titles were won on Thursday at Norm Perry Park with St. Patrick's and Northern competing in both Boys and Girls Division.
St. Patrick's Senior Boys win LSSAA Title
The Boys played the first game of the day and St. Pat's took the LSSAA banner by defeating Northern 2 - 0. After a scoreless first half Striker Richael O'Neill scored the first goal. Twenty minutes into the half Daniello Bucci then sent a bicycle kick pass over to an open O'Neill who kicked in his second goal and St. Pat's held on to take the win. Keeper Mitch Humby earned the shut out win.
Northern Vikings Ladies win LSSAA Title
In the Girls final both teams were scoreless after regulation time that sent the game to two 10 minutes halves. Early in the first overtime half Northern Shae-Lynn van Gassen found the back of the net on a free kick. The first half ended and in the second St. Patrick's fought back and after a scramble in front of the net Melissa Blair headed it in to tie the game. The second OT half ended and the two teams lined up for a shoot out where after a goaltender duel Northern Lena Nichols stop the final kick to earn give the Vikings the win. 2 - 1 win.
Both team in each division will move on to Semi-final SWOSSA next week.
