Hiawatha 3rd Annual 3 on 3 Street Hockey Challenge Results

The 3rd Annual Hiawatha 3 on 3 Street Hockey Challenge was completed on Saturday under perfect weather conditions with a total of 64 teams competing in the tournament.8


Girls Division
The Ball Snipers

2014 saw for the first time a Girls Division with four teams competing. In the final  The Ball Snipers defeated It's a Girls Game 5 - 1.

Novice Champions
Sarnia Novice Jr. Sting

In the Novice Division three teams competed and the Sarnia Novice Jr. Sting shutout Zach Wilson 7 - 0 to win the Golden Cup.

Atom Champions
The Vipers

In the Atom Division five teams competed and a very strong team, The Vipers won 5 - 1 over The Point.

Peewee Champions
Little Puckers

In a very competitive 13 team Peewee Division where the final game got heated the Little Puckers took the win over the Down River Boys.

Bantam Champions
THE SCHOCHERS

The Bantam final between The Schochers and Down River Boys went to a shootout to decide the winner. 
After regulation time Down River was leading but after penalty shots The Schochers evened the score that sent the game into a shootout. 
In the shootout The Schochers came out on top and took the Bantam title with a final score of 6 - 5.

Midget Champions
Lan's Leaf

In the Midget Division Lan's Leaf edged out The EH Team  4 - 3 to win their division.

Adult Champions
The Fish Hookers

Twenty four teams in all competed for the Adult title and for the third year in a row The Fish Hookers won the Adult Championship. 
In the Final The Fish Hookers defeated Pulling the Goalie 7 - 5.
