The Sarnia Spirit U16 Girls Indoor Soccer Team defeated Dorchester in the quarter finals of the Challenge Cup, played at the BMO Centre in London.
Chloe Kennedy and Daphne Hibma each scored a goal to lead the Spirit into the semi finals. Cassidy Edlington played a strong game in net to earn the shutout.
The Spirit now play next Sunday vs Nairn at 2.00 pm in the semi final at BMO.
The Spirit outdoor team open the season with a tournament on May 3-4 in Oshawa. League Cup play begins with the Kick off Classic Cup in Stratford on 17th and 18th. The team is also playing in the college prospects tournament in Ottawa on August 1st weekend.
