The Point Edward Pacers Jr. B Lacrosse team suffered their 17th loss of the season at their final home game against the Owen Sound NorthStars with a finals score of 17 - 6.

 

The Pacers were scoreless in the first period as the NorthStars went up 5 - 0.  Owen Sound added 8 more goals in the second and 4 in the third. 

The Pacers goals came in the second and third with 3 goals in each period.

 

Owen Sound went two for two on the power play, Point Edward went one for four.

 

Cory Burr led the Pacers scoring 3 goals, Alex Mayhead added 2 and Reggie Burke 1.   Scoring for Owen Sound were Brenden Welson with 5, Ben Watson, Spencer Elder and AP player Jake McNabb each added 3 apiece.  Zac Coulter scored 2 and AP Jordan Caskenette contributed with 1.

 

Owen Sound outshot Point Edward 38 - 29.  Ian Ferguson and Brayden Bell shared the duties in net for Point Edward.  Ferguson made 12 saves on 22 shots, Bell made 9 on 16 shots.  Dylan O'Rourke earned the win in net for Owen Sound.

 

The Pacers (2-17) look to finish their Ontario Jr. B. Lacrosse League season with a win today (Sunday June 22) when the team travels to Orangeville (16-3).
