Bluewater Gymnastics Coach taking on New National Role
thursday june 5, 2014

Bluewater Gymnastics coach Dave Brubaker will be joining Gymnastics Canada as the National Team Director for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.

“I am honoured to have been selected for this position.  Brubaker said “After the last few years of involvement with the national team program, when this position became vacant my name was put forward by several of my colleagues.”

Brubaker will share a wealth of experience having spent over 35 years of progressive coaching experience, including 29 years as Club Direct and Head Coach of the Bluewater Gymnastics Club.

“I have decided to proceed because I have the blessing of the executive Members at Bluewater.”

Gymnastics Canada says Brubaker played an important role as a national team coach during the 2010 and 2011 World Championships and ultimately the 2012 Olympic Games. He brings extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of the sport, passion and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to his new role.  He will apply his leadership skills in the Senior, Junior and Novice National Teams programs.

Brubaker is the former coach of
Dominique Pegg who competed at the 2012 Olympic games in London and other elite athlets including Talia Chiarelli and Emma Willis.
